This image is of a cluster of Hawaiian Flowers with some leaves and budding flowers. The media is Ink and paper. Some new skills that I have learned are how to draw with an Ink pen correctly, how to create texture with the techniques of stippling, lines, and cross hatching. Some of the main art elements are that my drawing has very good texture. By using stippling on the flower in the center this technique really puts and emphasis on that specific flower. I also feel that this drawing has very good lines and shapes, the flowers really do look like flowers. I also feel that by contrasting the techniques and not putting one against another really emphasizes each individual part of the drawing. I feel that the over all impression of this drawing is a very elegant one. It feels almost delicate and airy.

This painting is supposed to be a landscape of the beach at sunset. The media was paper and acrylic paint. A new skill that I learned was how to blend acrylic paint in order to make the painting look fluid and not choppy. Some of the main art elements are that the sky has nice color, also the values of the colors go from lighter to darker within the drawing in many areas. Also, I think that darkness of the clouds and sea puts and emphasis on on sky and the colorfulness of it. To me this drawing gives of a very calming and soothing feeling.
